  Materials Experts

We are materials experts, and we do much more than just lab and failure analysis.  We help companies engineer more successful products by optimizing the materials used in their products and understanding the science and engineering of the materials.  The result is reduced costs, reduced product development time, and improved quality.

We work with companies to help make better, faster decisions for the following types of projects:

  • Materials selection for new products
  • Materials selection for cost reduction
  • Manufacturing process development
  • Supplier evaluation and development
  • Manufacturing and supplier quality improvement
  • Failure analysis

Are your materials optimized?  Are your products optimized?

A product is made of all kinds of materials that make up every component and joint (solder, braze, weld, adhesive).  The question is – are the materials in your products optimized so that your product meets all of its performance, reliability, and cost requirements?

Here are a few questions to ask yourself:

  1. Do your new products fail to meet product development deadlines because the materials don't have the necessary properties to enable the product's performance and reliability requirements to be satisfied?
  2. Is it possible that there are alternative materials that will enable your products to be produced at lower cost, and with the same performance and reliability?
  3. Do supplier and manufacturing quality problems seem to linger on forever because you can't pin down the root cause of the problems?
  4. Do you get materials analysis and failure analysis reports from materials analysis laboratories, but don’t understand what the reports say and don’t know what to do with the information?
  5. Does your design team uses the same materials over and over again because the engineers are familiar with only these materials?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, then you should call us to discuss your products.  And don't worry there is no obligation.  We are happy to discuss your product and problem to see if we can help you out and decide if it makes sense to work together.
